The office of Walter Gebhardt | Architekt is internationally active. The scale of the projects ranges from furniture fittings to urban expansion. Master plans for cities and major projects such as airports, trade fairs and universities are just as much a part of the work as designs for museums, congress centres and sports halls. He is particularly interested in the combination of urban working and living and the appropriate treatment of historical substance.
An intensive apprenticeship as a designer and project manager with Meinhard von Gerkan is the basis for high planning quality as a result of dedicated co-operation with clients and specialists.
Fifteen first prizes in competitions testify to our ability to develop solutions for specific conditions and complex functional contexts that fulfil our design responsibility towards clients and society.
