The proposed contemporary interpretation of the steep slate roof is based on the local building tradition and grain. The irregular pentagonal geometry emphasizes the special function. A conscious decision was made to find an independent but ensemble-compatible solution that neither competes with the originals of the history of technology nor calls their testimonial character into question through an inappropriate architectural interpretation of the exhibition content.
