Hungarian National Museum, Budapest 2010

The courtyard of the historical building of the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest is to be roofed over and “tables” placed in the attractive courtyard area to enliven it. This will create new exhibition and event areas. All proposed interventions will be kept to a minimum in order to preserve the character of the building. Further concepts, such as the extension of the gastronomic facilities or the redesign of the garden area will strengthen the appeal of the museum, also for guests without an ambitious cultural agenda.
