Serlachius Museum Gösta 2011

Serlachius Museum, Ghösta 2011

The design responds sensitively to compositional issues as well as to the dimensions of the existing ensemble by distributing the new capacity among several structures, and by staggering their size in a way such that the beautiful tree stock in the park can largely be retained. The use of timber cladding for the facades can be read as a reference both to the original architectural ensemble and to the history of the company and the foundation.
