Redensification Hofweg 94, Hamburg 2013

The design draft proposes 117 new apartments in addition to the existing 84 apartments. The nine-storey apartment building in Hofweg, designed by Werner Kallmorgen in 1954 is to be “further constructed” towards the south, eight- storeys high. On the side facing Winterhuder Weg, two more additional storeys are planned, up to the height of the existing Wilhelminian-style buildings. Analogue to the alleyways typical of the quarter, a four-storey residential building is planned in the rear section of the site.
