Museum für Bayerische Geschichte Regensburg 2013

Museum of Bavarian History, Regensburg 2013

The Museum of Bavarian History on Donaumarkt complements the city skyline with apt self-assurance. The distribution of its volumes is oriented both to the scale and structure of the surrounding alleyways and to its unique location on a bridge. The autonomy of its underlying geometric articulation reflects the superregional significance of the museum yet the form selected for its application allows it to be sensitively embedded in the historical city center.
