Expansion of the elementary school, Savosa 2011 

The expansion of the school is used as a dialog for the community house that is opposite the public squre in front of the multi-function hall to serve as a new center of Savosa. An informal cascading seating is used to access and overlook the adjoining space in the front. Horizontal concrete bands from the old building run in continuation into the new design. The design attempts to merge the two structures while adding a new layer of time for one to perceive, where consecutively the use of natural stone adds a local component.
