Albanian Parliament, Tirana 2011

The walls of the four office tracts are predominantly closed to the outdoor realm in consideration of the local climate and in order to lend the complex a dignity commensurate to its function. The central hall on the other hand, assures passersby insight into the democratic proceedings within. The arcades along the circumference serve to link the building with the city and to frame the open spaces on the site, which are dotted with trees in bloom.
