Legislative Chamber of the Federal State of Lower Saxony, 2009 (2nd Prize)

The plenary area in the Legislative Chamber of the Federal State of Lower Saxony, a listed architectural complex situated directly on the banks of the River Leine, is to be refurbished to meet the demands of parliamentary work in the early 21st century. Its original features will thereby largely be retained. An irregularly punctuated vaulted dome and a public loggia opening onto the adjacent square are foreseen for the plenary hall.
