New Siem Reap International Airport, 2009

The International Airport is the key- project for the development of the area of Siem Reap as a Cultural Tourism Centre Located 30 km east of the World Cultural Heritage Site Angkor Wat and close to the temple area of Beng Meala it will become the gate to Khmer culture. The linear pitched structure and the large overhangs of the roof are reflecting the tradition and climate of Cambodia and at the same time the folded roofscape is formulating a unique and innovative present-day statement.
