Ecobay Abu Dhabi 

Currently under development, this is a hybrid complex that unites various usages: retail and commercial units, a clinic, a spa, a hotel, apartments, a mosque and a modern interpretation of a traditional souk. The structure’s design – six 20-storey towers resting on a 4-storey plinth – emerged after careful consideration of the site, which is flanked on one side by water and on the other by the main ring road. The souk at the center of the site is conceived as an introverted courtyard, where a tensegrity structure with sun sails provides shade.
