Design of facade, extension of Davidwache, Hamburg 2002 

The stipulated building structure has been adapted to the adjacent roof gradients and the traffic related requirements using incisions. It has been enclosed in a metal shell in order to strengthen its appearance of an object. The cortene facade with its closed surfaces punctuated by window openings is a contemporary, self-confident interpretation of Schuhmacher’s classic brick facade.
