Conversion of the Bundestag parliament building, Berlin 1992 (2nd prize)

The design draft planned a glass building structure with a plenary hall in front of the solid Reichstag building, and a covered public forum. The location for acts of democracy is characterised by its transparent nature. The portal gesture frames the view of the parliamentary building. In this way, the architectural expression enables the different democratic phases to be experienced.
