Stadtvillen Gerling Konzern Leipzig 1994

The urban structure made up of detached villas is continued. One of the villas is planned as an office, the other as a residential building with 40 three-roomed apartments. The typology, eaves line and materials of both buildings are a reference to the historical neighborhood. The problem of the differing heights of the old and new building is solved with a façade structure that extends over two storeys.
