The shared workshop areas are situated between the barrack buildings that are used by different faculties. The lecture theatres located in front of the main axis are a symbol of the new utilisation of the barracks as a place of learning. They provide an appropriate means of access to the old buildings. The library, refectory and Institute for Ground Evaluations are located opposite, as autonomous buildings along the axis, creating a clearly defined, overall orientation.
